A Brief Explanation of the Program
Purpose: The MultiCultural Missionary's main purpose is to assist the local church in planting daughter works, preaching points or a ministry among the Cultural focus group. The goal is to establish a functional work and train local leaders to continue the work when our missionary leaves. Then go to another area and repeat the process
The Means: MCM will send out missionaries to meet these needs. This person has met the following qualifications: 1. The MCM missionary has a good grasp of the target cultural group in North America and will be able to function as a church planter. 2. The MCM missionary has a good understanding of the policies of MCM and the UPCI. 3. The MCM missionary is loyal to MCM, The UPCI and the local pastor with whom he is partnering. 4. The MCM missionary has a love for lost souls and a vision to reach them. 5. The MCM missionary will train others to be leaders and soul winners, able to assume the leadership and direction of the congregation he will leave behind.
The Method: 1. The MCM Missionary will function under Multicultural Ministries and report directly to them. 2. The direct supervisor of the MCM Missionary will be the MCM Director and the MCM Missionary Coordinator. The local church pastor will be his on-site supervisor. 3. Funding is derived through the missionary deputizing to raise support. 4. MCM will designate the assignments to the missionary. They will go into a city at the request of a pastor and work to establish a congregation. 5. During his time there, the MCM missionary will keep in contact with MCM. 6. The MCM missionary will do outreach and promotion, reporting all activities to MCM. 7. As contacts are made, the MCM missionary will teach Bible studies and Discipleship. 8. The Missionary will help develop a minister to leave them in a position to carry on the work. This will be coordinated with the agreement of the local pastor.
